Forever Foster Program

A lifelong home. A lifetime of care. Minimal/no cost to you.

Some cats can’t be adopted the traditional way —

seniors, shy cats, medical cats, bonded pairs, or cats who need stability more than anything else.
Our Forever Foster Program makes sure these cats still get the life they deserve:

a safe, loving, permanent home without financial barriers.

You open your home.
We cover the rest.
Food, litter, and all approved veterinary care are fully provided by Cat Life Maine.

What Is a Forever Foster?

A Forever Foster is someone who gives a cat a stable, lifelong home while

Cat Life Maine continues to provide all medical care, supplies, and support.
The cat lives with you as your family, but remains under the rescue’s safety net for life.

This program is perfect for:

Seniors or disabled cats

Cats with chronic medical needs

Cats who don’t thrive in shelters

Cats who need a quiet, consistent home
